Trijicon Adds Battery-Free Green Duplex Option to AccuPoint 1-8x24

Trijicon has added a Standard Green Duplex reticle to the AccuPoint 1-8x24, giving hunters a battery-free, low-clutter aiming option alongside the scope's existing Red Triangle Post reticle.

Key points

• Reticle choice: The AccuPoint 1-8x24 now ships with either the new Standard Green Duplex or the original Red Triangle Post, per The Firearm Blog.
• Illumination: Fibre optics gather ambient light by day and tritium takes over as light fades, so the green duplex center lights up with no battery and no switch to manage.
• Optics and build: It's a second focal plane scope with a 30mm tube, 24mm objective, true 1x to 8x magnification, and a 6061-T6 aluminum housing finished in satin black.
• Adjustments: Low capped turrets move 0.25 MOA per click across 100 MOA of total travel, with field of view ranging from 20.0 to 2.5 degrees.
• Price and part number: The new variant is listed as part number TR35-C-200186 at $1,904.

Quick take

This isn't a redesign, it's Trijicon filling a gap for shooters who find the Red Triangle Post too busy. A glowing green duplex that needs no battery fits the low-light, both-eyes-open shooting the AccuPoint line is built for, and the spec sheet — true 1x, 100 MOA of travel, submersible housing — stays unchanged from the rest of the lineup. If you already like the AccuPoint platform, this is simply a cleaner aiming point in the same proven package.
