Next Generation Squad Weapons (NGSW)

You’re watching and reading TFB’s Photo Of The Day, where more and more images of the Next Generation Squad Weapons (NGSW) are starting to surface. Here we have the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Screaming Eagles, stationed in Fort Campbell training on the system.

The images are from PEO Soldier (The Army acquisition agency responsible for everything a Soldier wears or carries).

@PEOSoldier –

A @101stAASLTDIV Soldier fires the #XM7 Rifle during a Next Generation Squad Weapons (NGSW) New Equipment Training (NET) event.

Below: I know I’m repeating myself, but there’s a reason modern rifles use free-floating barrels with a handguard. The handguard is not only there to “carry” all the cool stuff like lasers, lamps and stability support systems like bipods or tripods – it’s there to protect you from using the barrel as a support, which will give you a very large point of impact shifts. It doesn’t matter what kind of sights you use, you will surely miss. So, in conclusion, please do not use your suppressor or barrel as a support.

There is a short video from the event on X, previously known as Twitter: Check here
