Inflation rose to 4.2 percent year-over-year in May, the highest level since April 2023, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics consumer price index report. After the downing of an Apache helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S. bombed Iran Tuesday evening, and Iran retaliated with strikes against U.S. bases in Jordan and Bahrain as the Iran War entered its 103rd day on Wednesday.
