Tomorrow, SIG SAUER will host the grand opening of their new 210,000 square foot, state of the art, ammunition manufacturing plant in Jacksonville, Arkansas, near Little Rock.

The Jacksonville Arkansas Ammunition Center (JAAC) sits on the existing the SIG SAUER Ammunition campus which with the expansion will host over local 675 jobs.

It brings ultra-scalability and automated ammunition manufacturing to the US Army’s Next Generation Squad Weapons program and other contract ammunition as well as their commercial offerings.

In addition to the massive manufacturing floor JAAC boasts 14,000 square feet of administrative space including offices, classrooms, a gym and employee cafe.

Currently, SIG SAUER Ammunition is manufacturing 8 million rounds of 6.8×51 hybrid ammunition per month as well as another 8 million rounds of conventional ammunition per month. The JAAC expansion will facilitate an increase in production to up to 12 million hybrid rounds per month.
