1797 Rounds
0 Malfunctions, 2 Stoppages, 0 Parts Breakage
Today was the day. Or yesterday, to be precise for you reading this on Tuesday. The little pistol that could had two separate stoppages today. The first was a failure to feed. The pin landed on an empty chamber and a quick tap rack brought the next round from the magazine into the chamber. I don’t know why that happened. Maybe the round was slightly underpowered and the slide didn’t make it all the way back. Maybe something else happened. I’m sure the lack of maintenance had nothing to do with it. In case your sarcasm meter is broken…
The next stoppage occurred at about the 1787 round count. An ejected case got caught by the slide, which you can see in the picture. Again, a tap rack cleared it and the gun finished shooting the remaining rounds. I think this gun has performed absolutely brilliantly, and frankly I don’t begrudge the gun its stoppages at this point. But, stoppages are stoppages, so the question is, what do we do now? Keep going and see what happens? Clean and lube the gun and see what happens? With just over 200 rounds to go, let me know in the comments what you would like to see happen.
