Springfield's Echelon Pro Comp adds a compensated slide for $899
November 5, 2026
Springfield Armory has launched the Echelon Pro Comp, a 9mm line that adds an integrally compensated slide and a laser-textured grip to its modular Echelon platform. All three sizes carry an $899 MSRP.
Key points
- Sizes: The 4.0C compact, the 4.0FC hybrid with a 4-inch barrel and compact slide on a full-size grip, and the 4.5F full-size.
- Slide: An integrally compensated assembly in Springfield Grey Cerakote, with a stainless guide rod and a tritium front sight with an orange luminescent ring.
- Grip: A LightForged frame uses lasers to shape an aggressive "cracked-earth" pattern Springfield calls Badlands. A machined steel flared magwell comes off to allow flush-fit magazines.
- Magazines: Each gun ships with three extended magazines: 18 rounds for the 4.0C, 20 rounds for the 4.0FC and 4.5F.
- Modularity: The serialized Central Operating Group still swaps between grip modules, and the Variable Interface System mounts popular optics directly to the slide.
Quick take
This is Springfield's own announcement, so there are no shooting results yet. If you already like the Echelon's modular layout, the Pro Comp packages the compensator, magwell and extended magazines as a factory option at one price across all three sizes.
