SIG and Agency Arms build a compensated P226X
SIG Sauer has teamed up with Agency Arms on a custom-styled P226X with a compensated slide and a fully adjustable trigger. Soldier Systems Daily's editor shot it at the SIG NEXT event and says he now plans to buy his first P226.
The short version
Built around an Agency Arms alloy frame, the P226X Agency pairs a single-port, integrally compensated slide with SIG's ROMEO-X red dot. A SIG program manager told the reviewer the gun "shoots itself," and he says the trigger was excellent straight out of the box. He credits the compensator with keeping the muzzle on target shot after shot, and calls the grip panels comfortable but grippy.
The pistol carries distinctive scale-pattern texturing on the front strap and matching alloy grip panels, plus an extended takedown lever. SIG lists it as coming soon.
Key points
- Slide: Single-port integrally compensated, with Agency 5Axis serrations and a ROMEO-X optic.
- Barrel: 3.8-inch bull barrel with a target crown.
- Frame: Agency Arms alloy frame with scale-texture front strap checkering.
- Trigger: AX3 fully adjustable single-stage trigger.
- Grips: Custom alloy Lok grip panels in the matching scale texture.
Bottom line
This is a factory custom for shooters who like the P226's heritage but want a compensator, optic and match-grade trigger without sending it out for work. Watch SIG's P226 X Agency page for pricing and release.
