The Secret Service evacuated President Donald Trump from the White House Correspondents’ Dinner Saturday night after shots were heard in the Washington, DC Hilton’s ballroom. Other cabinet members in attendance were also evacuated. The Secret Service announced in a statement that it had one person in custody. FORT RUCKER, Ala. – In a historic first, the U.S. Army’s Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) school at Fort Rucker partnered with U.S. Army South from March 14-18, 2026 to successfully execute a large-scale reintegration exercise, simulating the mass return of service members from a large-scale combat operation. The landmark exercise processed nearly 50 students acting as returned prisoners of war (POWs), the largest reintegration since Operation Homecoming in 1973. Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi left Islamabad Saturday evening local time, after attending events in Pakistan. The Justice Department has ended its investigation of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, removing a key obstacle to Senate confirmation of Kevin Warsh as his successor.  U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro said Friday her office would close its probe of the Fed’s $2.5 billion headquarters renovation because the central bank’s inspector general would review it instead. We talked a bit about mind over matter when it comes to dealing with recoil. Today we will look at it from an actionable angle. Most shooters, even many who identify as “riflemen”, do not seem to enjoy the recoil generated by a 6 or 7# 308. Move up to an 8.5# 458WM and fewer still will want to play.
