On the 27th day of a ceasefire to the Iran War, tensions between the U.S. and Iran over the Strait of Hormuz intensified, with Tehran saying, through Fars News, that it had struck an American warship with two missiles—claims that the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), which is responsible for the Middle East, denied Monday morning.  “No U.S. Navy ships have been struck. U.S. forces are supporting Project Freedom and enforcing the naval blockade on Iranian ports,” CENTCOM said in a statement posted to X. Iran has said that its navy halted a U.S warship as it attempted to enter the…

Military personnel have all seen the same thing with traditional MOLLE snaps, they fail when you need them most. Steel snaps rust shut, seize up, or shear off entirely. And once they fail, there’s no fixing them in the field. Moisture, sweat, humidity, and time all work against metal hardware, turning a simple closure into a liability. Studies on the corrosive nature of steel especially in high-moisture environments reinforce what warfighters already know: these closures are a known failure point and are not suited for sustained combat use. Helium Whisper was engineered to eliminate that problem. In place of metal…

PALAWAN, Philippines– Soldiers from the 5th Battalion, 3rd Artillery Regiment, 7th Infantry Division (Multi-Domain Command-Pacific) conducted a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System live-fire iteration on April 27, 2026, in Palawan, Philippines. I just returned from the Dallas Safari Club Big Bore Shoot, held at the Fossil Pointe Sporting Grounds. The range was great (and HUGE!) and it was a fun time. Driving 18 hours plus to fire 12 rounds may seem silly and I do wish there was more shooting, but it is what it is. I was the only one (AFAIK) shooting the mighty 458WM. Various 416’s and 375’s were the most common, with a few 470’s and even a 460 Weatherby Magnum making a good show. This is a fairly specialized form of shooting, but I really enjoyed it…
