I start every active shooter response course by placing my students a football field away from the objective. No matter how experienced they are, the first thing I do is put distance between them and the building, throw a flashbang, and yell, “Go.” The sprint is primarily about introducing stress. The Washington Post reported Sunday that several high-level military leaders warned Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth that extending operations against Iran could weaken American defense capabilities in other theaters. DUKE FIELD, Fla. (AFNS) — Air Commandos from the 919th Special Operations Wing validated their warfighting capabilities during a Combat Readiness Inspection Aug. 6-9 at Duke Field and Hurlburt Field, Florida.
