Twas the night before Christmas and all thru SOFREP, all us mice were scurrying, we had missions to prep.
For tis Christmas you see, a grand holiday, and we have friends and family everywhere, even some a world away.
So now there are presents to wrap, veggies to chop, ham and turkeys to season, and of course Christmas candy to consume, all within reason.
The oven is hot, the smoker lit, and the menu we’ve planned will be a major hit.
When out by the smoker there was a huge clatter, Layla was barking so I ran to see what was the matter.
There they were, locked eye to eye all three, Layla, an armadillo, and a cat up the tree.
Defending the meat platter, she was such a good dog, get outta here I yelled at the others, or I’ll feed you to the hogs.
Crisis averted the meat’s on the grill, then I’m back inside for some Netflix, wine, and chill.
But this is Christmas and I can’t get bored, roaring into my yard is a Motorcycle with my neighbor and his Grandkids onboard.
He laughs and yells, “Just stopped by to see if you’re alright, Merry Christmas to all and to all a new Red Dot sight”!!
